§ 1 Contracting Parties and Scope of Application
1.1 These General Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Boardroom GmbH, Monumentenstraße 35, 10829 Berlin (hereinafter: “Boardroom” or “we”) to its guests and customers (hereinafter: “Guest”).

1.3 These General Terms and Conditions apply to visits to our board game café, to table reservations and to bookings of our group room (including online bookings via our reservation system).
1.4 We do not recognise any conflicting or deviating terms and conditions of the guest, unless we expressly agree to their validity in writing.
§ 2 Services
2.1 Café operations: Boardroom operates a board game café offering food and drinks, as well as a games library containing board games that our guests may use on the premises.
2.2 Game fee: A game fee per person is charged for use of the games library. The current prices are displayed at the till and on our website.
2.3 Table reservations: Table reservations are free of charge and available for groups of 1–6 people. A reservation secures a table for the booked duration; the game fee is payable on site.
2.4 Group room: Our separate group room can be booked for 6–12 people and is suitable for private functions, corporate events and larger gaming sessions. Bookings for more than 12 people are only possible upon prior enquiry and by separate arrangement.
2.5 Food and drink: Boardroom offers food and drink for purchase. Bringing your own food and drink is generally not permitted, unless expressly agreed otherwise (e.g. a birthday cake by prior arrangement).
§ 3 Reservations
3.1 Table reservations can be made via our online booking system at reservieren.boardroom.berlin or by telephone. The reservation becomes binding upon receipt of a confirmation email.
3.2 Group room bookings are only confirmed as binding once the deposit (§ 4) has been paid in full. Until payment has been made, there is no entitlement to the room.
3.3 Reservations are non-transferable. The person making the reservation is liable for the entire group.
3.4 Each email address may make a maximum of one active reservation per day.
3.5 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings, in particular where there is reasonable suspicion of misuse, in the event of repeated no-shows, or if a person is on our blacklist.
§ 4 Deposit and Payment (Group Room)
4.1 A non-refundable deposit of €20.00 is payable to book the group room. This must be paid immediately via PayPal when booking online.
4.2 The deposit will be offset against the costs incurred on site (game fees, refreshments).
4.3 The deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances. It serves as a cancellation fee and guarantees the availability of the room for the booked period. This applies regardless of when any cancellation is made (see § 5).
4.4 On site, we accept cash as well as major card payments.
4.5 For group room bookings where an invoice is requested, a deposit invoice will be sent by email. The invoice contains all information required by law in accordance with § 14 of the German Value Added Tax Act (UStG).
§ 5 Cancellation, No-Show and Rebooking
5.1 Table reservations can be cancelled or rebooked at any time free of charge (via the link contained in the confirmation email).
5.2 Group room bookings: Cancellations are possible at any time; the deposit paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. It will be forfeited as a cancellation fee.
5.3 No-show: If a guest does not arrive at the time of the booking and has not cancelled, this is considered a no-show. For table bookings, this is noted in the system. After two no-shows, Boardroom reserves the right to permanently block further bookings. For group room bookings, a no-show is treated as a cancellation; the deposit is forfeited.
5.4 Rescheduling: A table booking can be rescheduled via the Magic Link up to one hour before the appointment, provided there is available capacity. For group room bookings, rebooking is only possible following consultation and at our discretion.
5.5 Boardroom reserves the right to cancel bookings for good cause (e.g. unforeseen closure, official order). In this case, any deposit paid will be refunded in full.
§ 6 House Rules and Code of Conduct
6.1 Guests undertake to use the premises and the games equipment with care and in accordance with their intended purpose.
6.2 Handling of games: The games in the games library are the property of Boardroom. Guests must treat them with care. Game instructions must remain inside the game boxes.
6.3 Noise levels: We ask that you show consideration for one another. The management reserves the right to intervene in the event of persistent disturbances.
6.4 Minimum age: Visitors of all ages are welcome. Children under the age of 10 may only visit Boardroom when accompanied by an adult supervisor.
6.5 Alcohol: We sell alcohol exclusively to persons aged 18 and over. We reserve the right to refuse to sell alcohol to anyone who is clearly already under the influence of alcohol.
6.6 Management’s right of admission: Boardroom reserves the right to refuse entry to guests or to prohibit them from visiting the premises if there is good cause (e.g. aggressive behaviour, breach of house rules, damage to property).
6.7 Smoking and e-cigarettes are not permitted indoors.
6.8 Photos and videos: Photography for private purposes is permitted. Photographs or videos in which other guests are recognisable require their consent. Commercial photography and video recording are only permitted with Boardroom’s prior written consent.
§ 7 Liability and Compensation
7.1 Cloakroom and valuables: Boardroom accepts no liability for the loss of or damage to items that have not been deposited in a designated locker or at the cloakroom. Valuables should not be left unattended.
7.2 Guests’ liability for damages: Guests are liable for any damage they cause, whether intentionally or through negligence, to games, furniture or other property belonging to Boardroom. This includes the wilful or grossly negligent damage to game boxes, playing cards, game pieces or other game components. Compensation for damages shall be based on the replacement value of the damaged item.
§ 8 Data Protection
8.1 The collection, processing and use of personal data are carried out in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is available at boardroom.berlin/datenschutz.
8.2 As part of the online booking process, we collect your name, email address, number of people and, where applicable, billing details. This data is used exclusively for booking processing, communication and — where required by law — for accounting purposes.
8.3 Payment details (PayPal) are processed exclusively by PayPal and are not stored by Boardroom.
§ 9 Dispute Resolution

9.2 Boardroom is neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
§ 10 Final Provisions
10.1 The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply, to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
10.2 The place of jurisdiction for merchants and legal entities under public law is Berlin. In relation to consumers, the statutory provisions on place of jurisdiction shall apply.
10.3 Should any individual provisions of these General Terms and Conditions be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. Invalid clauses shall be replaced by the relevant statutory provisions.
10.4 Boardroom reserves the right to amend these General Terms and Conditions at any time with future effect. For existing bookings, the version valid at the time of booking shall apply.
